
About Us
Under the direction of the Medical Director of the Cerebrovascular Disease Center, we provide comprehensive evaluation, management, and treatment for patients who experience ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), and other cerebrovascular disorders. The program offers a multidisciplinary approach to the overall care of each patient. Comprehensive services include but are not limited to: Acute stroke care including the use of intravenous or intra-arterial t-PA and neuroendovascular interventions; Stroke research protocols; Prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of strokes and other conditions involving the blood vessels of the brain in both inpatient and outpatient settings; Prevention strategies and education for individuals at high risk of having a stroke; Treatment for complex cerebrovascular problems such as aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVM); Inpatient rehabilitation to optimize neurologic recover; Stroke telemedicine services to the rural communities in Arizona with spoke hospital sites within our system.

Job Title: Stroke Program Coordinator
Responsible for the organization, development, planning, management, and evaluation of the Stroke Center. Maintain and enhance the quality of care delivered to stroke patients by facilitating communication between Administration, Staff, and members of the interdisciplinary health care team in order to enhance collaboration and problem solving. Assists in developing stroke standards of care, policies, and procedures that promote an organized and efficient Stroke Program. Monitors Stroke Center compliance with State and National stroke regulations and guidelines. Analyzes stroke data, prepares periodic reports, and presents data/metrics to the appropriate committees. Responsible for communicating deficiencies in stroke care and coordinating performance improvement through chart reviews and case reviews which occurs at the monthly Stroke Steering Committee. Functions in the role of a resource person for stroke care by participating in stroke alerts and or providing just in time education to nursing staff. Serves as a liaison between other centers and agencies to plan and maintain a regional/statewide stroke system by actively participating in development of Stroke Care policies at both the State and Regional level.
